In solidarity with Haiti

African Update – 29/01/10

Our organisation is aware of the unfortunate tragedy which has happened in Haiti and we are saddened by the horrible situation there.  We stand in solidarity with the people of Haiti in their moment of great pain.

And though we wish we could help, Humanitas Afrika does not have the capacity to organise and coordinate a relief effort from the Czech Republic to Haiti.

So we plead and urge anyone anywhere who wishes to contribute anything or donate something to do so through established institutions like, Medicins Sans Frontier, Unicef, Caritas, Adra  and People In Need. Humanitas Afrika is also suggesting and pleading with Afrikan governments to unite in their collective efforts to assist the people of Haiti as well as offer good resettlement packages to our sisters and brothers of Haiti

should anyone there desire to return to any particular country in Afrika. And in case someone is feeling frustrated or helpless by the extent of destruction and suffering that the Haitian people have to endure right now, then we humbly request you to offer them prayers in your faith.

Humanitas Afrika strongly believes that irrespective of our differences in religion, culture, race, and even politics humanity is one. So lets demonstrate love and empathy with the people of Haiti in their hour of great need.
