Angelique Kidjo performs in Prague

African Update – 15/07/16

Benin,Afrika,Chicago to Prague-Czech Republic. Since the passing away to ancestral glory of the legendary Mama Afrika- Miriam Makeba of South Africa while performing on stage in Italy on November 9th 2008,Angeligue Kidjo originally from Benin - West Africa has been rightfully considered as the new Mama Afrika of the present generation.

On Wednesday 13th July 2016, Angelique Kidjo gave an electrifying performance with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in Prague - most likely the first African music super star to have done so.

This special concert presented by PROMS-PRAGUE that took place at the noble and royal SMETANA OBECNI DUM indeed captured the mood and mesmerised the decent and beautiful audience that filled every space of the hall.

Humanitas Afrika was privileged to have received special invitation to witness this great collaborative concert of African and European classic music. The conductor of the Orchestra for this fantastic evening was GAST WALDZING.

Here are some few photos, especially for those who missed this wonderful evening of Czech-Africa collaboration.
