Evening devoted to Thomas Sankara

15 October is the 25th anniversary of Sankara's assassination. To remember this man and his time, there will be a screening of a documentary: Thomas Sankara – The Upright Man followed by a discussion.

Thomas Sankara rose to power in a popularly supported coup in 1983, renamed his country to Burkina Faso, "Land of Upright Men" and launched the most ambitious program for social and economic change ever attempted in African history.

The film is in English with Czech subtitles.
