The book is the third volume in World University Service’s annual survey of educational rights and academic freedoms worldwide. In addition to presenting the situation regarding academic freedom in selected countries from five continents, the present study also reports on the implementation of educational rights at primary and secondary levels of the educational system. The country studies pay special attention to the educational rights of girls and women, as well as of ethnic and religious minorities.
